NEXT BOARD MEETING
The next
Board Meeting will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. at Scripps
Ranch Community Room, 11885 Cypress Canyon Road. Members are invited to attend and partake during the open
session.
VIOLATION PROCEDURE POLICY
Several
owners recently attended the Board Meeting to address ongoing violation of the
community rules. The procedure is as
follows:
A serious
of four letters are mailed to the owner outlining the item(s) of concern. If the concern is not corrected via this
method, the issue is turned over to the Association Attorney. This process
results in legal charges being assessed to the owner. To avoid this action, please consider the following:
If you
receive a courtesy notice regarding your home, please take the time to contact
the management company either by phone, e-mail or in writing informing them of
how you plan to correct the concern.
Then, make sure you follow up by correcting the condition. If we do not hear from you, we have no
choice but to consider the item uncorrected.
The Board will work with any owner who keeps them informed as to what is
occurring, preventing them from taking the necessary action to bring their
property into compliance with the rules and will allow extensions of time
frames if needed
NEW PLANTINGS
Please
take the time to notice the newly planted area across from the Morning Creek
School. The entire slope has been
revamped and we are looking forward to the effect the new plant material will
achieve.
NEW SECTIONS ON THE WEB
SITE
Two new
items will be added to the web site.
(1) A bulletin board has been devised to allow owners to share
information on home repairs with their fellow Sabre Springs owners. (2) The paint color schemes have been added
to the Architectural section of the web.
Please use this information when
getting ready to paint your home.
STONY BROOK UPGRADES
The Board
discussed upgrades of the plant material along the perimeter wall of Stony
Brook 1 & 2 along Sabre Springs Parkway.
The upgrade would include removal of the 49 Oak trees and replacing them
with Pittosporum Undulatum. The reason
for the removal of the Oaks, is due to their invasive root system and the
aesthetic appearance. The replacement
trees have a non-invasive root system and are easily treated for insects, they
are evergreens and would help to keep the walkway cleaner. The existing Sycamore trees in the insets of
the wall would remain. All of the
arelias and jasmine would be removed.
The agapanthus would be planted in tighter groupings for a better
appearance. Some of the area would be
changed to sod for a neater/cleaner look.
Owners that have concerns may attend the May 6, 2001, meeting to address
them with the board, or submit them in writing to The Prescott Companies.
DOGS
Be a good
neighbor and remember to keep your dog on a leash, pick up after it and do not
allow it to use your neighbor's yard as it's own bathroom.
